I spied this white flowered vine growing on the side of Pam's yard. The plant's genus name comes from the Greek words echinos for "hedgehog" and cystis for "bladder" in reference to the prickly, fleshy green fruit. The difference between this plant and its close relative, the Bur-Cucumber, is that it's flowers have 6 petals rather than 5.
