It is easy to confuse Sweet Cicely with Southern Chervil or Honewort. Note the hairy stem as an aid in identification. The plant is in the Carrot or Parsley family. This blooms in April. I photographed this plant on the Chestnut Top trail in the Great Smoky Mountains Park.
