I found this plant blooming along the road near Max Patch in the Pisgah National Forest on the Tennessee / North Carolina border. It has numerous pink flowers which are enjoyed by bees, flies, and other pollinators. This plant is a garden escape that has become established in the wild, it is a native of Japan.
Perennial - Shrub
