Lamb's-Quarters; White Goosefoot; Pigweed
Chenopodium album* /Goosefoot Family
This is a common weed of fields, waste ground, and roadsides. It has tiny flowers. I found this one in Tellico Plains growing outside our cabin at the KOA! All parts of the Lamb's Quarters plants contain poisonous nitrates. Horses, pigs, sheep, and cattle are poisoned by eating the plants.
Where seen: Oak Ridge, Tellico Plains, Great Smoky Mountains NP, widespread, Warrior's Path SP
