Evening Star Rain Lily
March 26, 2009
This was the last wildflower I expected to see blooming in Texas because it doesn't bloom until after a substantial rainfall and the area we were visiting had been suffering through a 2-year drought. However, the week before we arrived, the area received 4" of rain. These flowers were the most common wildflower I saw in some areas, growing thick along the roadsides and in yards! What a nice surprise that was.
