Snoqualmie Falls is located 25 miles east of Seattle, an easy drive on I-90. The 270-foot waterfall can be observed from a covered deck. For the strong of leg and heart, there is a steep 1/2-mile trail to the bottom of the falls. Along the trail you'll pass the powerhouse where water diverted from the river above the falls drops through 2 huge tubes to turn the turbines to generate electricity. The large building on the left is the Salish Lodge.
